The Creative Transformation
Our program goes beyond simple crafting—it encourages a deeper journey of creative transformation. Through hands-on projects and focused practice, students learn to take their ideas from concept to completion, cultivating problem-solving skills and a passion for making.

Holistic & Dual-Handed Learning
In every lesson, students engage in dual-handed learning, an approach that activates both sides of the brain to support balanced development. This holistic technique promotes focus, coordination, and cognitive growth while allowing young learners to explore and strengthen their creativity.

Weekly Projects Include:

  • Step-by-step video tutorials to follow at their own pace
  • Progressive projects that build foundational and advanced skills
  • A variety of unique, engaging crafts to foster imagination and confidence

What If My Child Has a Question?

Each project is thoroughly explained in the video lesson, with every step carefully demonstrated. Often, young learners may be tempted to skip ahead, so we encourage parents to prompt their children to:

  1. Watch the video from beginning to end – catching every detail and instruction.
  2. Pause and play the video for each step – to break down each action for accuracy.
  3. Review the video multiple times if needed – to reinforce understanding.

If questions still arise after following these steps, students can record a brief video showing the area of difficulty and email it to us. Our team will review it and offer guidance to support their progress, helping them build confidence and problem-solving skills.

Essential Supplies for the Self-Paced Sewing and Craft Class

To support your child’s learning and creativity in sewing and crafts, please ensure they have the following supplies ready for class:

  1. Sewing Machine
A dependable, basic mechanical sewing machine is recommended to help students develop foundational sewing techniques and build confidence in their projects.
If you have not bought a sewing machine yet, for more detailed guidance, see our video with specific machine recommendations

  2. Fabric and Materials

    • Fun Fabric: Soft cotton or poly-cotton fabrics work well for most projects. Please consider buying plain colors because it is easier for kids to keep track of their projects. Please buy 1 yard of red or dark pink and 0.5 yards of green, along with other cool colors.

    • Felt Sheets: Great for adding colorful accents to small projects. Suggested Felt Sheets  Please buy felt from craft section per sheet. Do not buy felt per yard from fabric section of your store
    • Stuffing Material: Perfect for filling plush toys and other soft creations. Suggested Stuffing
    • Assorted Sewing Threads: Various colors to complement different fabric choices. We recommend that sewing machine threads for most projects work very well; having just white thread will also work.

  3. Yarn and Crochet Essentials

    • Yarn: Select a few colors for crafting, opting for yarn that isn’t too “hairy” or thick for ease of handling.
    • Crochet Needle: Suitable for beginner-friendly projects.
  4. Basic Sewing and Craft Tools

    • Pins and Sewing Needles,  sewing machine needles (Singer) and safety pins
    • Ruler: A 1-yard wooden ruler or a large school ruler works well for measuring and marking.
    • Magnetic Pin Cushion: To keep pins organized and accessible.
    • Seam Ripper: Essential for correcting stitches and making adjustments.
    • Pencils and Markers: Regular school pencils (white and standard) and a black Sharpie for marking fabrics and patterns.
