Required Supplies for Sewing and Craft Academy VIP and Self-Paced

To support your child’s journey in fashion design, please ensure they have the following supplies ready for class:

  1. Sewing Machine
    We recommend a reliable, basic mechanical sewing machine to help students master foundational techniques and build confidence in their work.

  2. Fabric

    • Cute Fabric: Soft cotton or poly-cotton fabrics are perfect for projects. Please consider buying plain colors because it is easier for kids to keep track of their projects. Please buy 1 yard of red or dark pink and 0.5 yards of green, along with other cool colors.
    • Felt Sheets: Great for creative accents and small projects. Recommended Felt Sheets Please buy felt from craft section per sheet. Do not buy felt per yard from fabric section of your store
    • Stuffing: Ideal for making plush toys and soft projects. Recommended Stuffing
    • Sewing Threads: Assorted colors to match various fabric choices. We recommend that sewing machine threads for most projects work very well; having just white thread will also work.
    • Elastic 1/4 White

  3. Yarn and Crochet Needle

    • Yarn: A few colors of yarn for various projects (choose ones that are not too “hairy” or thick for easier handling).
    • Crochet Needle: Suitable for beginner projects.
