This class is quite unique to the Northwest Suburbs because no one in the area offers sewing classes, especially for children. Well, we have a master tailor and designer in our instructor's team, and we are glad to be able to offer this unique opportunity to children from the neighborhood.

So, dear parents, take advantage of our existence, and your children have a place to learn to sew and craft.

Who is this Sewing Class for?

Teddy Bear is our favorit project in our sewing class at Aneta Art Center for Talent Development

If you have a child aged 8 - 12 years who like to work with fabrics, yarn, and threads to create various things, she/he will like the AnetaArtClass sewing program very much.

Parents, know that this is quite a challenging activity. Students there are challenged to control many things at the same time, But our excellent teacher knows how to motivate students to overcome all difficulties easily.

We have shed tears and laughed in this not-easy craft program, but in the end, everyone goes home proud to have created on their own something beautiful. This class is also the first step toward the world of fashion design and advanced clothing design. This is a wise investment in your child's future, and if you are consistent, you will soon see the return.

What are the benefits for your child?

✅Students Learn to Sew
✅Students learn Patience

✅Improve the Ability to Focus

Our sewing program for kids is designed so that both hands are equally involved in the work process, resulting in equal stimulation of both brain hemispheres

Our sewing program is designed so that both hands are equally involved in the work process, resulting in equal stimulation of both brain hemispheres. Students are put in a situation where they have to monitor several things simultaneously, such as the speed of the sewing machine, seam performance, layers, and pleads….which is excellent for developing the ability to multi-task and not lose focus.
Students work with many layers, and often the 2D patter is turned into a 3D design, which is a very good exercise for developing spacious thinking.
Also, by learning how to control the pedal of the sewing machine and its speed, we are sure that this will make them excellent drivers one day.
In addition, the execution of each project requires a lot of patience and practice.

What do we Teach Students in our Sewing Class?

In this class, students will learn basic machine operation and sewing techniques, including sewing machine maintenance, treating top and bottom, keeping track of multiple tasks, like controlling the speed, layering, seam performance, and helping and keeping our fingers at the same time. Our list of projects is very long and often is based on students' interests and likings, such as pillows, bags, teddy bears, and stuffed animals, all season themed.

Who is teaching our Sewing Class for Kids?

For 13 years, Mrs. A has been the only one teaching our Sewing and Fashion Design Classes.

For 13 years Mrs. a is teaching our sewing program for kids

As you probably know, she grew up in a tailor family and, from a very young age, was exposed to garment designing and finishing. The first thing Mrs. A is teaching her students is that sewing is harmony, patience, and a positive attitude, the slower speed is, the better, and we work for quality, not pace. Her main goal is for students to understand the concept and principle of seeing and designing.
